Which EU Schengen visa is the easiest to get?

If you wish to travel, work or settle in Europe, look here where and how to apply for a Schengen visa!

ETIAS, the EU's online travel authorisation application, is coming in 2024. It means that even the citizens of visa-exempted countries must register before entering the Schengen zone.

If you do not have a Schengen visa, then the following countries have the less rate of rejection:

  • Iceland - only 1.9 per cent
  • Lithuania - 7.8 per cent
  • Latvia - 9.5 per cent
  • Finland - 9.7 per cent
  • Slovakia - 9.7 per cent

Meanwhile, the other countries may reject three applicants from ten:

  • Malta 36.4 per cent
  • Sweden 29 per cent
  • Belgium 28.4 per cent
  • France 22.2 per cent
  • Norway 20.3 per cent

If you plan to settle or work in any country of the Schengen zone (30), you should consider obtaining the residency permit and not the visa first and then trying to find a reason and the country that allows you to stay there.

Who applies for Schengen visas?

  • Turkey 270997
  • Russia 536241
  • India 130427
  • Morocco 157000
  • Algeria 140212

Interestingly the number of visa applications is still less than half of the number of visitors before COVID.

According to the official statistics of the European Union, the number of refused visa applications slightly increased in 2022, against the citizens of the following countries: Belarus, Russia, Egypt, Cote d'Ivoire, and Angola.

Residency by investment and residency for entrepreneurs or depositors' programs are the best way to become an EU resident or live in the Schengen zone. There are several investments and other options for third-country citizens. If you plan to live in Europe, we can find you the most convenient country and price level.
